Any list of 2017 viewing highlights promises to be woefully incomplete, thanks to an abundance of terrific TV dramas, an eclectic year in movies and the current golden age of documentaries. Indeed, plenty of film and TV critics have simply thrown in the towel on mere "10 best" lists as they endeavor to recognize all their favorites.
